Sonic colors Review

So Dr. Eggman has made an amusement park in space to mask his attempt at using a species of aliens who are made of living energy called wisp to rule the world. As usual sonic is there with his long time friend tails to go stop him. While the story is really nothing to right home about the writing is genuinely funny at times with its references to how often the series has changed voce actors. The dialogue between sonic and tails also feels more real because you feel like these guys have known each other for a long time and the banter between Eggman and his two robot minions is also funny for the most part.
As for the amusement park in space this severs as the levels sonic runs through. There are six zones Tropical Resort, Sweet Mountain, Starlight Carnival, Planet Wisp, Aquarium Park, and Asteroid Coaster. Each has its own theme and looks very good compared to other Wii games such as Mario Galaxy. Thou sonic colors is a 3D game it feels more like a 2D game with 3D segments, most the time your on a 2D plan like the old sonic games. The twist here is that there are power ups in the form of the wisp that Eggman has captured. The power ups include laser, drill, hover, cube, rocket, spikes, and frenzy. Each power up helps sonic gets through the level in different even helping find alternate paths. These powers come in handy when fighting a boss too. There are only four bosses in the game three of which are repeated and there are all very easy.
There are also bonus stages that you can unlock by collect red rings you find throughout the levels. Beating all of them unlocks a very special treat Super Sonic.
While most of the game provides a fair challenge there are times were the game can seem very cheap like have pitfalls or having obstacles get in your way when you have no idea that they are there because your going so fast. The music is all around very good. The ones that play during the stages are fitting and energetic. The main track Reach for the Stars in particular fits the game well. All in all sonic colors is a solid title if you’re a sonic fan definitely buy it and if you are not a sonic fan rent it.

Pikmin 2 walkthrough complete

I have finally completed the video walkthrough for Pikmin 2. It took a lot of time and energy, but I'm glad it's done. Now I am going to take a break from walkthroughs and just post videos on a smaller scale not full on walkthroughs. You can see the complete walkthrough for Pikmin 2 here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=E6884AD31756B230

Finished Metroid other M

I finished Metroid other M and I have to say despite its flaws it was an enjoyable experience. The story is okay coming from Nintendo. The voice acting all around was decent and the way it all came to an end was enough of big payoff to make it all worth it. I felt that the story made Samus more human by giving here flaws and made her somewhat venerable. Sometime in the beginning of the game Samus runs into her old commanding officer Adam. She agrees to only use her weapons when authorized to, the reason why is explained in the gorgeous cut scenes that are in the game. The way you play is by holding the Wii mote sideways and for the most part it works but can be trouble some when trying to platform jump. There are also points were you go into a first person view and have to look around for something of any importance. The game gives you no hints at all of what to look for so you could spend some time looking in the wrong direction which is often. I liked the game but it would be safe to rent it since there is not much to do after completing the game.

Scott Pilgrim is awsome

I saw the Scott Pilgrim movie yesterday and I think this is the most energetic I've been while watching a movie. The video game references and style don't get in the movies way but enhance it. The visuals are colorful and help get the feel of the movie across. The actors all do a great job of playing their respective characters, especially Micheal Serra. The fight scenes are full of energy and are all so memorable that I can't really pick a favorite. This is defiantly a movie to see if you like video games.

Limbo Review

What Limbo is about hardly matters to me. What does however is the atmosphere that draws you in to this interesting and dangerous world. You start off in a forest playing as a boy having no idea why your hear except if you read the vague description when you download the game. In the forest you meet a very deadly spider and other children, both want you dead. The lack of explanation for why these things are happening to you as well the art style and ambient noises help draw you into Limbo. There are three things you use to control your character the analogue stick to move, the A button to jump, and the B button to grab objects. This simple control scheme keeps you focused on whats happening in the game. The puzzles start out simple involving lite platforming and moving objects to get across big gaps. Latter on they get more complicated some involving gravity manipulation towards the end. The deaths are what Limbo will be remembered for other than its great atmosphere. Since the character you control is a child these deaths have a bigger impact than if it was a locust being chainsawed to death. He can be crushed, drowned, shocked and more. No noise or excessive amounts of blood are present so you can only focus what is happening to him, and that is just some of the things that can happen to you. Limbo is definitely a game that I would recommend to anyone with a 360 it is an experience that should be played.

Naruto # 504

I've been the Naruto Shippuden manga for a long time and I just wanted to share what I read with everyone else who may see this. So lets begin, in this chapter the conclusion to Kushina's story of how she and Minato died sealing the Nine tailed fox inside Naruto. I won't spoil how it happens but its sad and heart warming. Then it ends with Naruto biding farewell to his mother. I thought it was a good chapter mainly because it put to rest how the Ninetails got sealed inside Naruto and you found out more about his parents. Now that he has complete control over Nine tails chakra he can master that secret technique he has been working on.

You can see the manga online at http://www.naruto411.com/manga/

Darksiders

I almost got to the end of Darksiders before I sent it back because I lost interest. I did like what I played but it was too much like Zelda for me. I had hoped that an American version of Zelda would be different. But that is not what I find very wrong with the game. The combat was a very big weak point for me. There was really no strategy to it just hacking and slashing. The story was however a very interesting concept. You play as one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse War. It turns out that the Apocalypse started prematurely before mankind would be able to properly defend themselves. War being the only Horsemen there is blamed for it all. He offers to find the one truly responsible for this and sets out to on his quest with the Watcher making sure he keeps on track. The story was interesting enough to keep me playing for almost to the end but the bland combat and feeling like I've done this before kept me from finishing it.

Limbo impressions

I have been playing Limbo one of the summer of arcade games and I have to say that what I've played so far is astounding. I have never played a game where the death of character made me so disturbed. The thing is there is no distractions like background music or boat loads of blood. There is only the focus of what I the player am doing on screen, whether the character I'm controlling or other things I run into are doing those deadly deeds. Even thou there is no apparent story I was totally sucked in thanks to the atmosphere and art style the game presents. The silhouette black and white color style works well for the game and good signs of what to do to solve puzzles as well a forgiving checkpoint system makes the game not frustrating. I will hopefully finish the game tomorrow and give my final thoughts.

My Deathspank impressions

I have been enjoying my time with Deathspank but it is starting to get a little tiring. The constant fetch quest are annoying even with the humor and the combat is very simple. It started off strongly with a stylish intro and some easy starting quest. The dialog is for the most part funny and the combat was easy to grasp using the the four face buttons and D-pad for attacking with certain weapons and selecting food items and potions. As time went on I started to feel like I was just grinding for the next area and killing anything that attacked me and doing repetitive task for the people in need. They even made fun of the fact that I had to do so much fetch questing, but it wasn't that funny since I had to do it. The character Deathspank is a hero to the downtrodden and was told by a fortune teller that he was destined to be a great hero and get an artifact called the artifact. Along the way he helps people in need to maintain his hero status. I found that I liked the guy his voice doesn't really bother me that much. The weapons he uses range from hammer boots to chicken guns, it is sometimes funny to read the description of the items you gain along the way. So now I'm taking a break from Deathspank, I only got about a third of the way through. I may return to it later this summer.
